Intelligence of Dogs

http://www.petrix.com/dogint/index.html

This lists the top 79 most intelligent dogs. I think the Cardigans are TOO smart and they'd rather do it their own way first, so they are lower on the list. Mine at least are too smart ;)

FWIW The Cardigans placed 26th and the Briard tied at 30th.

Out of the top 10 breeds, over half I have had problems with, or had friends have major problems with. No offense, Kim, but I still don't know about BC's. Only brag I have is that Poms are smarter than Cardis ;-) LOL Cuz I *really* believe that, right? I know my poms are smart, but I don't think THAT smart. lol. I can't believe Pems scored higher than Cardis? Stupid. Either way, how did they figure out this? Take a dog or two of each and give them a test? Each dog is different. Unless one person owned them all and spent equal amounts of time and training with each would be the only way to tell for certain. Oh well, I think mutts should be #1, because it's not very often I meet a dumb mutt...they usually make the best pets hehe. I know Izzy is extremely smart...Oh, and I didn't tell you what she did...I've been sick the last couple days...and when Denny wasn't looking, she pushed open the bedroom door while I was sleeping and crawled under the covers with me to cuddle while I slept. I thought I was dreaming! lol.

A long time coming!

It has been a long time. Too long in fact. We lost access to our farm website and ebonwald website when WEBS.COM was closed by VistaPrint. ...
