a "GOOD" day

*as always click photo to biggify*

I was almost frozen solid when I went to the mailbox today and saw THROUGH the OFA envelope that there was a letter, not a certificate. My heart stopped and tears welled up in the corners of my eye. I ripped it open and read it and re-read it several times before I realized that she PASSED. Those silly preliminary reports!! :) So instead of in pain or fear, I was now shedding water for happiness and relief. You have no idea how paranoid I've been LOL. And all for nothing!

We are still waiting for Oliver's results.

Congrats! Isn't it amazing how much we hold our breath for those results... I was waiting at the mailbox for several days! I think the mailman thought I had a crush on him!

I always send things to OFA with the same feeling in the pit of my stomach that I have when sending something to IRS -- isn't that awful? So glad your prelim report says "GOOD". Time to breathe.

Congrats on the good!!

Chloe will be 2 in March & I plan to have my vet send the same xray (he does digital) to both OFA and OVC for comparison. My vet is interested in what both institutions say.

I have a Golden Retriever friend who likes OVC better than OFA. She says they are more consistant with their evaluations and they give a perm certification at 18 months.

I will let anyone who is interested how it goes.

That's not just good, thats great! Did you prelim Zoe too?

I didn't do Zoe as she's nearly two so I figured I'd just wait to do her 'official' one in April. I figured I waited this long I can just wait ;) I redid Oliver to see if there was any change. The xrays actually show a different view than I remember when he was 9 mo old so we'll see what the experts think :)

A long time coming!

It has been a long time. Too long in fact. We lost access to our farm website and ebonwald website when WEBS.COM was closed by VistaPrint. ...
